About this project

Mission for Anath Development and Welfare Society has been actively working under the Jal Jeevan Mission during the 2024-25 session, supported by the Government of India’s Water Power Ministry.

The initiative, titled “Har Ghar Jal” (Water in Every Household), is being implemented across all districts of Uttarakhand in collaboration with various organizations, including Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan,Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam and Swajal Project Corporation.

The organization has been conducting community-level activities in multiple districts, including Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Haridwar, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Bageshwar, and Almora.

These activities include:Household Surveys to assess water availability,Village Water and Cleanliness Committees working on sanitation and water conservation,Women’s Empowerment Groups addressing water-related challenges,Technical Training Sessions on water purification and storage,Village Meetings to discuss water-related concerns and solutions,Water Testing and Documentation for government reporting, Rainwater Harvesting Awareness Programs.

● Field Visits and Practical Demonstrations: Teams have been dispatched to various villages to conduct on-site assessments of water sources.Demonstrations were held in SURYADHAR village, showcasing water storage structures. Suryadhar village was visited to observe water conservation techniques used by farmers.

● Community Engagement and Leadership: Local coordinators and volunteers have been appointed in each village to oversee the implementation. Training programs have been conducted to equip volunteers with the necessary skills.Regular meetings are held with Village Water and Cleanliness Committees (VWSC) to ensure proper execution.Reports on water testing are submitted online to the Government of India.Documentation of daily activities is maintained for transparency.

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, a three-day training program was conducted by Mission for Anath Development and Welfare Society, as per the letter issued by the department. Mr. Yogesh Chandra Bartwal from the office participated in the training.

● The training focused on methods to restore and conserve traditional water bodies.

● Specialists shared their thoughts on various water conservation strategies.

● A long-term strategy for water resource management was developed.

● Guidelines were provided on keeping water clean, its filtration and ensuring safe consumption.

● Detailed information was given on how rainwater can be collected and utilized efficiently.

● Participants were taken to SURYADHAR VILLAGE, where they observed water storage infrastructure and ongoing water conservation efforts.

● The program concluded with a visit to SURYADHAR VILLAGE, where a
water conservation structure was showcased, helping locals utilize
water for farming.

Jal jeevan mission yojana actively implemented across 1041 villages in 11 districts of Uttarakhand, focusing on village-level water management, sanitation, quality assurance, and community engagement.
