Uttarakhand Minority Welfare & Waqf Development Corporation
The Uttarakhand Minority Welfare & Waqf Development Corporation (उत्तराखण्ड अल्पसंख्यक कल्याण तथा वक्फ विकास निगम) is a statutory organization established by the Government of Uttarakhand under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956. The Corporation is dedicated to promoting the socio-economic development and empowerment of minority communities across the state through various welfare, skill development, and livelihood initiatives.
Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana (Chief Minister's Skill Development Scheme)
The Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana is a flagship initiative of the Government of Uttarakhand aimed at enhancing the employability and economic self-reliance of unemployed youth belonging to minority communities. Under this scheme, beneficiaries receive industry-oriented vocational training that equips them with practical skills for self-employment and sustainable livelihoods.
The programme is implemented by the Uttarakhand Minority Welfare & Waqf Development Corporation and focuses on creating better employment opportunities, encouraging entrepreneurship, and improving the overall socio-economic status of minority communities in the state.
Fibre Handicraft Training Programme
Training Module Overview
The Fibre Handicraft Training Programme is designed to develop technical expertise, creative abilities, and entrepreneurial skills among participants. The programme enables trainees to produce high-quality handicraft products while enhancing their employment and self-employment opportunities. The training was successfully conducted for a duration of 90 days in Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar.
